Meet Lesley

It was one of those fateful occurrences, that I’m ever thankful for, that led me to working with Lesley last year.

How to describe Lesley? Well in three words I will go with

Fun, Bold, Brilliant! In a nutshell that really is Lesley.

Originally from Scotland but now living in Hampshire with her family which includes her highland pony Frankie who is just the cutest.

luxurious, elegant and timeless

These are the words that Lesley chooses to describe her work, but I would add bold and rich. If you want simple identikit pastel bouquets then Lesley perhaps isn’t the ideal florist for you. If though you want some creative works of art combining textures and colours then definitely chat to Lesley.

Flowers can make a beautiful and powerful statement without being in your face or over the top colours. The below bouquet is a perfect example. The colour scheme is fairly neutral with soft peaches and yellows but the berries, and greenery create a stunning rustic bouquet full of charm and telling the story of the bride.

Fun & fresh

The first time I worked with Lesley was on her editorial shoot ‘Only flowers and horses’ that was published on Want That Wedding earlier this year.

This shoot was an incredibly fun experience, and with Lesley taking the styling lead she created a fabulous shoot that embraced her customer desires to a tee whilst reflecting her vibrant and infectious personality.

Even Frankie was involved as we captured the equestrian bride arriving on horseback in the most relaxed style possible.

The table set up was an eclectic array of flowers and items to prove that more is actually more. None of the items were superfluous as every single one held a meaning, including the parrot!

The bold luxury burgundy red brought together the entire shoot from flowers, ribbon, jackets and chair elements. This styling showed how you can have a colour scheme without it being overwhelming as it can still incorporate and in fact highlight different colours..
