Laughern Hill in Worcestershire was the venue for Rob & Lizzie’s wedding on a beautiful July day this year. This beautiful country house is a hidden gem, perfect for both small and larger weddings just outside Worcester.
The preparations took place in the main house, which has a number of beautiful spacious bedrooms. The rooms were perfect to produce some beautiful bridal portraits. We took the time to included photos of Lizzie with the bridesmaids and the father of the bride.
Lizzie, her bridesmaids and her dad then travelled in style in a vintage VW campervan to Bromyard Church for the ceremony. Bromyard church has the most gorgeous stained glass window which with the small side window created some amazingly lit photos taken by my second shooter Liz. Had I been on my own I wouldn’t have been able to capture these shots without moving significantly throughout the service which I always avoid. It’s one of the prime examples of where a second shooter is invaluable.
After the service and brief group photos in front of the church Lizzie and Rob departed in a vintage VW beetle. Once back at Laughern I took Lizzie & Rob away for twenty minutes so they could have some time together whilst also taking some portraits of the pair. This included the somewhat unique photo involving an antique bath in one of the house’s ensuite bathrooms!
The reception itself was held in a marquee within the beautiful large garden behind the main house. The best man speech from Mark was a serious highlight and had everyone in hysterics but could not beat the fabulous poem read by Lizzie announcing herself now as Mrs Wise.
I do hope to be back at Laughern Hill soon as it was such a fabulous venue with so many unique features to allow countless beautiful photos and memories.
