For those that don’t know, I’m a Jersey girl born and bred. The Rock, as it is affectionately known to islanders, is now though my home away from home. I welcome any excuse to travel back to the island for work, as it gives me excuse to visit friends and family. I have photographed weddings, cherish (& trash!) the dress, equine and editorial sessions whilst on the island, and have whilst doing so met some fantastic suppliers. So how better to kick off my new Suppliers I LOVE feature than with some of the very best Jersey wedding suppliers.
A dress for every occasion
I must start with the much understated and very talented Lisa the dressmaker, who in addition to alterations provides an outstanding bespoke dress design service. For an editorial shoot in 2018 which was published on the English Wedding blog she created a stunning bespoke boho themed dress that fitted perfectly with the styling.
Style is everything darling…
If you are married or are planning your wedding, you know an exceptional amount of your time will be spent perfecting the look and theme. You can make your life extraordinarily easier by employing the services of a wedding stylist, and in Jersey, Anna Renouf of Wonderlands without doubt tops my list of recommendations.
Anna in addition to being a genuinely lovely person creates modern, funky, beautiful concepts. It’s no surprise she has been commissioned for several high profile events in Jersey including elements of Jersey Live. Anna styled the boho wedding editorial session, which Lisa provided the dress for, which is pictured below.
In addition to styling she has a vast prop/furniture collection, many which she makes or customises herself. Anna also offers floristry and design skills. Her wedding stationery is beautiful. If you are planning a wedding in Jersey you really must look up this fabulous human being, you won’t be disappointed!
Flowers & details
Two other suppliers I must mention are Bella Fiori, one of the most talented florists I’ve met, never mind on Jersey, and stationery supplier Ananya Cards.
The Bella Fiori floristry team led by Ffi produce some outstanding floral displays, arrangements and bouquets. Just how amazing is this crown she created for our boho editorial shoot?
Last but not least for this suppliers I love feature is Anaya Cards. Creative Direction Vaishali Shah like me was once a Jersey girl living there for several years. Unlike me she has also called Paris, London and Mumbai home at various points. This cultural mix shines through within the designs which includes a selection of gorgeous stock designs which can be personalised. She now operates design studios in both Jersey and London. Her team can provide fully bespoke designs for those looking for that extra level of personalisation.
