Katie – The Wiltshire Photographer

Based in Wiltshire Katie has long specialised as a creative equestrian photographer but in more recent years has developed her passion for portrait and more specifically wedding photography.
Katie’s equine work includes portrait, event, commercial and media work. Katie is the principal photographer for the largest UK Eventing specific website, e-venting.co.uk which sees her travel to numerous international events including Badminton, Burghley and major championships. Her work is also often published in a variety of publications both national and internationally in both editorial & advertorial content.
Katie’s passion for horses is deeply embedded, she started to ride before she could walk and was lucky enough to have her own ponies from a young age thanks to her parents living on a farm. She has competed in almost all disciplines at some point from Dressage, to driving to polocrosse! Currently though her focus is eventing with the odd bit of dressage and showjumping thrown in for good measure. Her varied experience means she has the knowledge and experience to what creates a good equine photo and also knows as a horse lover what she would want if it was her in front of the camera.
Her wedding photography has grown over the last five years from strength to strength, although she only takes on a limited number of weddings each year to ensure she can offer the dedication and service her clients deserve and expect. Katie will not deny she loves a good wedding, what better is there than to share a day full of love and happiness? Her calm demeanour makes her the ideal wedding photographer, and combined with her years of experience means she can help maintain calm throughout the day.
Katie is continually striving to improve her technique so during her rare spare time can be found reading up on new techniques or out experimenting including on specialist training courses. She loves to share the knowledge she has already gained and hence launched her ‘Behind The Magic’ blog series which covers all manner of topics which influence photography.
2016 was a very quiet year photographically for Katie due to pregnancy, but having now welcomed her daughter to the world she is back from maternity leave with her diary filling fast.
Although based on the Hampshire / Wiltshire border her location gives her easy access the the A303 and the motorway network, so she regularly travels around the South of England including Devon, Somerset, Dorset and Sussex and she accepts commissions nationwide and is also available to travel internationally.
